Reinhard von Hennigs was born in Hüttental-Weidenau in the German state of North Rhine-Westphalia. He is both a European and a naturalized U.S. citizen. His wife and he reside with their three children in Charlotte, North Carolina. He enjoys golfing, hunting and forestry. Reinhard von Hennigs is passionate about creating global environments where people and companies thrive outside their native country. He has been an entrepreneur for close to twenty years.
Reinhard von Hennigs served with the German Air-force, studied and graduated from the University of Heidelberg at the Ruprechts-Karls-University, the oldest German university founded in 1386. He graduated with a law degree in Bonn (Germany) and with a Master’s degree in California (LL.M. in Transnational Business Law from the University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law). Reinhard von Hennigs is fluent in German, English and French.
Mr. von Hennigs is a licensed attorney in both Germany and the United States (North Carolina) and admitted as a Foreign Law Consultant in Georgia. He consults clients on U.S., German, and European law. His practice areas include international business transactions, incorporations in the USA and in Germany, Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) Advisory, start-up consultations, immigration, business visas, company-sponsored “green cards”, as well as dual citizenship applications. Mr. von Hennigs is equipped with far-reaching experience in international investment and real estate investment trusts. Furthermore, he regularly assists U.S. and German clients in international litigation, litigation defense, and products liability actions.
Reinhard von Hennigs is the Chairman and Founder of BridgehouseLaw LLP, a North Carolina-based law firm with offices in the United States, Canada, and Germany. He is admitted to practice law as an Attorney in the USA (North Carolina), Germany (Rechtsanwalt), Georgia (Foreign Law Consultant) as well as with the United States Supreme Court.
With over twenty-five years of experience in the international legal business community, Mr. von Hennigs regularly speaks with leaders of government and business associations on important developments in international law. He has presented to Chambers of Commerce, trade associations, and universities in both the United States and Germany. Mr. von Hennigs’ regularly advises globally operating companies on market entry strategies. His work primarily focuses on Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) and works strategically with clients to establish legal structures that address the business needs of the client as well as immigration, tax, liability, and regulatory considerations.
Reinhard von Hennigs was named a Super-Lawyer in North Carolina for International Law in 2012 and 2013. He earned the Scarborough Pro-Bono Award. Under his leadership, BridgehouseLaw LLP was awarded the Charlotte Mayor’s International Cabinet Award (MICA) in 2013.
Reinhard specializes in providing advice to global companies on market entry strategy into new countries focusing on the opportunities created through Foreign Direct Investment (FDI). He advises a broad range of companies from start-up to  Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises (SME), and B-Corporations: Reinhard coordinates the structuring and restructuring of companies both domestically and globally. He is counsel to a variety of business clients.
In 2016, Mr. von Hennigs was elected to be the President of Bridge Alliance, an international alliance of law firms with practices in Germany, Spain, Saudi Arabia, the United States, Canada, Brazil, and China. He is the President of the Charlotte Chapter of the Entrepreneurs' Organization (EO), a global think tank and an international peer-to-peer group of entrepreneurs.
As a self-proclaimed “Global Growth Guru”, Reinhard has studied, researched, and adopted corporate global investment and legal strategies. He helped numerous businesses to implement their own valued global growth and market entry in the USA.  In the last ten years, he supported over 100 companies to successfully enter the USA; each one with a unique and remarkable story. Lessons learned from his years of experience are indirectly shared in his books.
In October 2021, Mr. von Hennigs was sworn in as the Honorary Consul of the Federal Republic of Germany for Western North Carolina. Reinhard von Hennigs often speaks publicly on various topics regarding international, American, and German legal questions, legal comparisons, and issues affecting foreign business transactions. He previously served as the Secretary of the North Carolina Bar Association International Section Council and as a board member for several non-profit
groups. 
Reinhard facilitates workshops and speaks regularly on the subject of global corporate subsidiaries and the essentials of both starting in the USA as well as the risk management of subsidiaries. He is frequently invited to speak at universities, Chambers of Commerce and trade associations on global business and International law as well as how to take organizations from their home country to a foreign market.
Mr. von Hennigs is a charter member of the Charlotte International Rotary Club, where he served as President. He is the Area Director of The Entrepreneurs’ Organization and the Chairman of Bridge Alliance, a global law association in 12 countries.
He is a longtime member of the Entrepreneurs Organization, he served as President on the board of EO Charlotte, and is now an Area Director with the US East Region of EO. He served as the Chair of the Charlotte International Cabinet, an advisory board to the Mayor of Charlotte, Charlotte City Council, and the Office of International Relations.
Reinhard hosts the GlobalBridge podcast and blogs about all things relating to corporate, business, international and more. He also creates daily Morning Musings videos related to current trends and topics. This is the foundation of his books.​​​​​​​
